Special Containment Procedures: The remains of SCP-2008-CL as well as all SCP-2008-CL A instances are to be cryogenically stored at Site 34 for research purposes.

Description: SCP-2008-CL was a 240-300ft tall quadruped, amphibious organism which emerged in the Atlantic Ocean. The entity possessed elongated forelimbs that stretched to almost it's entire body length, terminating in elongated clawed appendages and making up the majority of it's size. The finger-like appendages were flexible enough to bend backwards, allowing it to occasionally knuckle-walk. The entity's hindlegs were shorter than that of it's forelimbs, though allowed it to move surprisingly fast for it's size. These appendages granted SCP-2008-CL immense physical strength, capable of destroying skyscrapers with swings of it's forelimbs and allowing it to rip the head off the Statue of Liberty.

The creature possessed two external esophagi, located on it's midsection, which were utilized to consume small targets such as humans and horses. These esophagi terminate in sharp protrusions akin to teeth. The entity's head resembled that of several deep-sea organisms, notably species of the order Lophiiformes (Angler Fish) and possessed two large eyes with dilated pupils. The maw was lined with long-sharp teeth, some of which protruded from the mouth and could reach to lengths of up to 5 meters. Two membranous sacs were positioned on either side of the entity's head, theorized for assisting in breathing in and out of water. SCP-2008-CL possessed a long, triple forked tail used to assist in propulsion undersea and balance when navigating out of water. SCP-2008-CL was covered in light gray skin capable of withstanding bombardment from conventional weaponry and hosted thousands of SCP-2008-CL A instances.

SCP-2008-CL displayed predatory behavior, occasionally devouring small targets with it's external esophagi during the 2008 Cloverfield Incident. Despite it's durability, it displayed signs of aggravation at bombardment from tanks and fighter jets, lashing out at it's surroundings in response. Interestingly, despite extensive research into it's age revealing that it had been alive for thousands of years, it also revealed the creature to be a juvenile specimen of a previously unidentified species of massive, deep sea organism.

SCP-2008-CL A are 0.4 meter tall, predatory crustacean-like entities that nested on the skin of SCP-2008-CL. The relationship between the two entities is unclear, though is thought to be parasitic in nature. SCP-2008-CL A instances possessed 10 elongated, double-jointed limbs ending in pincer-like appendages, allowing them to scale walls and ceilings. The exoskeleton is pale in coloration and the jaws were massive and segmented, lined with sharp exoskeletal protrusions in place of teeth and possessed 4 small black eyes on either side of the head, two on the upper and lower maxilla respectively. Their jaws excrete a yellow liquid identified to be a form of saliva. This saliva along with blood from SCP-2008-CL, contain trace amounts of a mutagenic substance native to the ocean floor (see Addendum 2008-CL #1 for further details). SCP-2008-CL A organisms were observed to attack military personnel during the 2008 Cloverfield Incident, displaying pack hunting and coordinating behavior.
